Simple Chocolate Cake Recipe with Eggs

This one bowl chocolate cake is rich in chocolate and moist in texture. Batter takes only 20 minutes to prepare. Cooking time 30 minutes and cake will be ready to eat in 1 hour.

Ingredients

2 cups of sugar

1.75 cup all-purpose flour

0.75 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1.5 tsp baking powder

1.5 tsp baking soda

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp salt

1 cup boiling water

Cooking Instructions

  1. At 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F preheat oven.
  2. Take 2 nine inches round pans and grease them.
  3. Meanwhile the oven is heating and getting ready for the baking, take a large bowl and add sugar, cocoa, all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir them well.
  4. Add eggs, oil, vanilla extract and milk to the mixture.
  5. Mix all the ingredients for 2 minutes on a medium speed and in one direction.
  6. Add boiling water to the mixture towards the end and stir it well.
  7. At this point of time, the batter will become thin.
  8. Pour the contents evenly to the prepared greased pans.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven.

    Check the cake with tooth pick, bake for few minutes more, if it is not done.

  10. Let pans cool for 10 minutes and then remove the wire rack so that cake can cool down completely.

Notes.

  1. You can also use aluminium foil for baking. It helps in evenly cooking, high rise and prevent cake to stick to the pan surface.

 Easy Chocolate Cake Recipe without Eggs

Some people do not prefer eggs or butter in their food. This chocolate cake recipe is perfect for making it without eggs while adding and mixing the right amount of ingredients so that cakes doesn’t turn out to be sticky or undercooked from inside. This cake taste similar to brownie and can be served with caramel or Choco sauce.

It takes 15 minutes to prepare the batter and 45 minutes to cook.

Ingredients

1.5 cups all-purpose flour

3 tsp cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

0.25 tsp baking powder (this is optional ingredient)

0.25 tsp salt

0.75 cup sugar

2 tbsp chocolate chips

0.5 tbsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp white vinegar

0.25 cup oil

Cooking Instructions for Chocolate Eggless Cake

  1. Preheat oven at 180 degrees C for 10 minutes.
  2. Grease pan with oil and sprinkle all-purpose flour on the surface so that it completely spreads on all sides of pan.
  3. Take a large bowl and add water, vanilla extract, white vinegar, sugar and oil. Mix all ingredients well till sugar completely dissolves.
  4. In another pan add all-purpose flour, baking soda and baking powder mix then well and then slowly add the powdered mixture in first pan and mix gently.
  5. Keep mixing gently in one direction avoiding all lumps till the batter becomes runny.
  6. Add choco chips to it and give it a quick stir.
  7. Pour the batter into the preheated greased pan.
  8. Bake cake for 35 minutes at 180 degrees C.
  9. Check cake with tooth pick, if it requires more cooking then bake for another 5 minutes.
  10. Take the pan out and let it cool down for 15 minutes.
  11. Invert the cake carefully, slice and serve.

Notes.

  1. White vinegar when work with baking soda helps the cake to rise.
  2. It is important to follow the mixing and measurements mentioned as it helps to make a perfect moist cake.
  3. Selecting the baking pan is also critical. Batter should be exactly half filled after poured in the pan.
  4. In case you do not want to use choco chips, then add 0.25 cup of sugar more to the batter.
