This is instant and delicious recipe of Potato Pancakes that I want to share. Try these potato pancakes once it will attract comments of family members. This is new variety of snack that will renew your choice of cooking.

Potato Pancakes Recipe

Pancakes have many varieties but this is new and delicious recipe of potato pancakes served mostly in breakfasts with the goodness of vegetables and spices added in it. Potatoes are source of fats and calories but mostly used in starters and snacks.

It is less time consuming and easy to prepare. Children likes these kind of dishes as a snack item. You can also add some more vegetables or ingredients as per your choice. Now let’s start our recipe.

Ingredients:

Potatoes-2

Tomato-1 finely chopped 

Water-1/2 cup

Salt-1tsp

Red chilli powder- 1 tsp

Green chilies- 1 finely chopped

Spring leaves-1 finely chopped 

Maida- ½ cup

coriander- 1 tbsp

carom seeds-1 tsp

Fenugreek leave- 1 tsp

Cumin seeds-1 tsp

Oil- ½ tbsp


Steps to make tasty Potato Pancakes:

  1. Grate potatoes in a bowl.
  2. Add water and leave it for 5 minutes.
  3. Drain water from potato. Wash it again with running water and Squeeze the water properly. 
  4. Add grinded onions into a mixing bowl.
  5. Now add salt, green chilli, tomato, cumin seeds, carom seeds, fenugreek leaves, water, coriander, spring leaves and maida.
  6. Add prepared mixture in grated potatoes and mix well to avoid lumps.
  7. Now heat a non-stick pan on a low flame and add oil.
  8. Put 1 tbsp of mixture in pan and flatter it evenly on the pan so that you can flip it easily.
  9. Flip it carefully pancake should not break.
  10. Once roasted from both the sides, remove from pan and serve hot with ketchup or other sauces.
     

Tips:

  1. Avoid red chilli powder if serving to children.
  2. Mixture should be spreaded upto the size that it should be flipped easily.
  3. Make sure that all the corners of pancakes are roasted well so that doesn’t looks uncooked.
  4. Try to flip gently so that pancakes should not break.
  5. you can add some more ingredients to make it extra delicious.
